Pacific Airlines supports all kinds of large-scale construction
project in Taiwan, offering helicopter-based service primarily
in rigging and loading. Our helicopters are capable of
lifting up to 5 tons. The state-directed Taiwan Power
Corporation¡¦s Hoping Bihai Hydropower plant construction
project, on which 600 millions has been expended, is a
crucial step for the economic development of Taiwan. However,
the Sixth and Seventh hyper-voltage power systems were
designed to be located in high-mountain areas, where ordinary
transporters find it difficult to exercise their mobility.
Transportation of human resources and engineering materials
must then rely on helicopter operation. Within the next
five years, TPC might have to spend approximately 5 billions
on transportation operation with its own helicopter resource.
The total expenditure might also include follow-up maintenance
expense, which would become a major cost in this construction
